We are East Brunswick FIRST INC, a New Jersey 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by students in December of 2015. We started as a small club of 20 students with no resources and no funding and have grown into a large nonprofit organization with over 100 members, numerous yearly events, and significant STEM programs which directly impact members of the East Brunswick Community. 

 

Our organization was founded to spread STEM education through the Central Jersey community. We started doing this through the FIRST robotics program forming our FRC Team (6987 Astraea) which is due for its rookie season in 2018.

 

But to truly serve our entire community, two things had to happen. First, we expanded, allowing our organization to be at more events, to get kids into STEM, and to show them what robotics can do. Next, we partnered with East Brunswick High School and created the Robotics Club to give students with no prior experience a real engineering education. 

 

Our motto is "Let's Build Something Amazing," because it really sums up what our organization is trying to do. We are trying to bring people of different backgrounds, cultures, experience levels, together to build the most amazing creations we can. But most importantly, we are doing it together.
